Sariska tigers have been partying
Sorry for the long silence. I was on a well deserved vacation.
In the midst of all the global gloom here is some good news - the tigers of Sariska project tiger reserve have being partying.
The Sarika brochure states that the tiger “prefer” large prey like Sambar deer….and cold beer.
Dharmendra Khandal sent me this one. Don’t believe it - see the brochure pic below:

Hi Aditya,
You sure had a long vacation.
and those relocated tigers are indeed having a party with “Cold Beer”.
Cheers,
Kartik
Hi Aditya,
I am trying to create a picture gallery of India (for other international students at my university, Texas, USA). I found the link to your pictures from the Ranthambhore National Park site. Would you be willing to share some of your pictures of wildlife?. You can add a watermark to the picture so you will be credited, ofcourse! Please let me know if you are interested.
Thanks,
Balaji
Aditya,
Hats off to your Blogs.I have been an Ardent Tiger Lover for many many years.
And like 90% of the Tiger Lovers , I have fretted, fumed and screamed at the decline of Tiger Population in India without really bothering to do anything about it.
I have read (over the Years) several articles on the declining Tiger Population. Now I want to do something about it.
As a start I am starting a few websites and trying to rope in a a fairly large supportiive group to GET HEARD somewhere.
I know I am an amateur,so please pardon me if my thoughts are stupid.
Is it feasible to introduce Tigers into the wild?
Would it be Foolhardy to even think of buying some tigers in the US and sending them to India.
I know the Red Tape involved, but is there anything you can suggest for me to contribute my two cents??
America has a huge Population of Tigers as pets. Many of these are bought as Cubs and once they grow the Owners find them hard to keep.It is estimated that Texas alone has about 3000 tigers.
Any thoughts would really help.

by the way what is happening with the tigers at Sariska. Last I heard that they were mating so any babies yet ? Did the third relocation happen? I am out of touch
The third relocation happened over a year ago but no cubs as yet. I think the male is too young and cubs may take another year at the least.
